Funny, you don’t at first think of a scam as being magic, but damn, an illusion is exactly what it is ! Thank you for so clearly explaining the process. Hopefully, it will help someone down the road - especially seniors, who scammers repeatedly prey on.
Yes @Ken Macko especially seniors because they least understand the digital world, and therefore they are most vulnerable. AND crooks know they have retirement savings. 🥺
It’s fascinating how you explain the way scanners sign and the links to state magic. Thank you for sharing this reminder to be vigilant and not trust everyone you meet online / over the phone.
Thank you @Trudi Nicola I guess the moral of the story is trust no one you don't know. Call your financial institution for confirmation. Its difficult when you are left in a state of fear. 😨🙏💜✨
it’s like moving into a gang infested neighborhood and having to put iron grids on your windows and doors to keep the criminals out. I would really like to go back to a world where we could trust people. ✨💜🙏
Good cautionary tales Charlotte. We all need occasional reminding not only need we step back at too good to be true, "No worries bud, you saw the pea go under the third cup with your very own eyes, bet it all!". We all so need think thrice when fed the it's so bad it must be true, "You're hacked Jack, they got your bank, your cards your car, -but we can save your wherewithal if you leave $27k in an unmarked brown bag 'neath the third park bench on the left...."
& now for my next illusion, I will here, before your very eyes, woman the saw in half!
Yes, too good to be true scams, and then there are those where they use fear to control you. Into a trance!
No worries bud, you saw the pea go under the third cup with your very own eyes, bet it all!". We all so need think thrice when fed the it's so bad it must be true, "You're hacked Jack, they got your back…. I hear lyrics for a grat song! Thank you Jim @Jim in Alaska
The 'Clearly Impossible' perfomance is just fascinating, it is really mind boggling! I hope your friend remains able to trust people after her experience of being scammed 🤍
Thank you @Bliss I appreciate you taking the time to read in watch my videos! My friend prides herself on being a student and aware. I think it was a great humbling experience for her. And of course she is far more cautious. I hope you enjoy a beautiful weekend!✨💖🤗
Thank you for sharing this update on your friend’s situation. I’m so glad your brother did not fall victim to the scam. I find it so hard to be suspicious of people, so I really empathize with your friend ❤️
It’s heartbreaking to hear someone has lost a substantial amount of their hard earned money. My friend is very wealthy and she could have absorbed the loss, but I’m so happy she gathered enough information to have the thief busted. She still sits in the county jail here not giving up her identity. 😯
Wow, that’s crazy. And I’m happy your friend gathered the info, not only for the reason of recovering her loss, but also so this person is locked away and can’t harm another person.
Unfortunately, she was able to identify the car. So the police knew about what time she drove on the freeways and tracked her all the way to Pomona from where we live in the San Joaquin Valley about two hours away. So they set up a sting operation and a few weeks later she went to another home to collect about $100,000 from a lady. Unbeknownst to her and even the lady who was being robbed the police arrested her right after she collected the cash. They are sure she is just a mole and part of a much broader operation. The fact the Chinese government is not cooperating, and she is a Chinese citizen causes you to suspect their involvement. 😬
I'm fascinated by stage magicians. Did they just wake one morning and decide, hey I'm going to become a stage performer? How did you make that career choice? Admittedly my perception of becoming a magician as an unlikely career choice is tainted by having grown up in a very conservative South Africa in the 70s and 80s. The only local magician I can recall that had any sort of fame was a guy called Martino, and I only saw him perform in short segments on television, it wasn't even close to the glitz and glamour of the videos you've been posting in your posts.
What also strikes me the more I watch these performances is that there must have been an incredible amount of training, practice and skill that goes into these shows. What we see on stage is probably only 10% of all the work and training needed off stage.
Thank you so much reading my article and commenting. It is fascinating to learn the different ways individuals are attracted to magic and choosing it as a career on stage. Believe it or not, magic chose me instead me choosing magic. Those are my first words in my first Substack article I published in September 2023. Indeed it takes a LOT of practice, and my ex husband/partner We’re fortunate to be living in Southern California or through the magic castle and other magical organizations we were able to perform professionally and on our skills soon after we present at our show.
Thank you Daniel, I appreciate you taking time to read and comment. Yes, she learned a listen, and so did I frim her experience. I hoping none of us fall prey to these very sophisticated and clever ploys.

Always interesting information in your posts!
Thank you @JD Solomon Im glad you liked it! 💖
Fear is a big motivator. Used so often by con artists.
And definitely that’s true for today’s digital swindlers.

It is! And it’s easier to trust than to be cynical.

Me too. It will come. We have to hope.

Gosh! If ever there's a lesson to keep our wits about us - thank you charlotte! Hope you are keeping well :)

Oh my gosh. That is really crazy. How traumatizing for your friend and the other lady, too. That is wild, Charlotte 😳
They both got to meet each other in court, and now they are friends. God works in mysterious ways in our lives to bring beautiful people together.
Now that’s incredible! A truly beautiful ending to something that was so heartbreaking!! I am so glad to hear that ❤️💕🙌
God turning the tables on Satan and changing bad into good. ✨🙏💜🤗
Yes!! 🙌 Sometimes bad can do some good ❤️

Sorry about what happened to your friend, I hope she learned a lesson. It's not quite springtime yet, it's the middle of winter!!

Huh?
Sorry! My baby daughter sent that. 😬
Ha! Ha! 🤗💖✨😃 Too cute! I thought this was the code I wasn’t understanding or something . Lol!
Yeah! She reminds me everyday to laugh and loosen up!
Beautiful! Thank you so much for sending her wonderful child energy my way. ✨💜🙏
