btw - Dropped a note on Obsidian Blackbird a ways back.. as his Dad’s logging & rockin the Casbah overlapped with my sojourn in BC after working the Banff Gondola Lift for a season.. My ‘memoir styling’ Christmas Daze kinda signals the beginnings of my ‘big mountain cruising as I’d never skied or boarded .. at that same time the ‘Idea of a Feature Film called Diamond Walker was hatching due to The Grandfather of Amateur & Semi Pro Baseball & Founder of The White Spot Restaurant Chain sending me off at dawn to survey Nat Bailey Stadium ! Fresh cut grass, that salt air tang.. & bald eagle overhead - If I had a doppelgänger they’d be creating a Nat Bailey Story for sure.. got his start ‘at the game.. ol Leather Lungs.. peanuts popcorn refreshments’ - & gave me a gracious reference to Sportsman & Restauranteur Herb Capozzi - owner of the BC Lions who hired me on the spot
But on to the ‘magic of reading ! The Gift that Never Quits .. Priceless ! Big sister Ellen & I read like demons @ 3 & 5 years old & still do.. and her Family History Writings are the Wonder.. Yes.. she’s Diving Deeply .. going way far.. & are in the territory or classic style a la Joan Stommen..
