Beautiful clothing from that glamour era! Member when I was a child how well-made my mothers clothing were. And so stylish with so much detail. Thank you for sharing the page! 💖💖💖

Love the history of Tropicana. It’s sad that they demolished it for the stadium. Well we will see ..Now the Mirage will b going. One day I foresee the Flamingo going as well. I actually enjoyed the Flamingo alot. Yes the girls on the strip are jokes sorryx not sorry. I hope that one day the show girls come back! The casino royale is going too! I actually won money here on a wizard of oz slot. I prefer the older casinos to new. Can’t wait to go b to Vegas!

thank you so much aria, I am very happy you responded. Unfortunately, yes the flamingo is scheduled for demolition. When I lived there in the 90s at the edge of town way out on Durango I had a full view of the strip and downtown. I watched one by one as old Las Vegas was dynamited. That arrow went, and the error you see now is going. It seems to happen every 20 years. Thank you again!

Bless her heart! I LOVED living in Surfers Paradise, and during the time I spent performing at Jupiters! The theater was gorgeous, and I really enjoy the show I was part of —during my stay. Do you live on the Gold Coast? Thank you you much! I really love the land of Oz! ✨💖🤗

What a fantastic read Charlotte! Just a wealth of experience and that whole feeling of Vegas through our era, you nailed it! Our parents loved going there! I have watched all the movies, seen lots of shows there and my brother lived there 30 years, most of his time as a musician. Not the healthiest place for many to live.

I laughed out loud when you talked about The Tropicana and the Folies Bergere! My parents had seen it, but I hadn't. That is until John decided we should go to Vegas a month prior to giving birth to our first baby. The last thing I wanted to do was sit around the pool, like a whale or go to that show! The 80's maternity wear was utterly horrible and I felt like Rogier van der Weyden's painting "Portrait of a Woman!" ugh! ha ha ha! It was also May and our little Jetta broke down heading home. One time we fled Vegas on a much needed stopover and that's a funny story of madness! I actually adore the mid-century architecture far more and wish they had revived it rather than go big stadium-like. I have a friend from high school who was married 20 years to an implosion guy and together they imploded a lot of buildings there and it was a reality show on the History Channel called "Dangerous Demolition." And crazy stuff, but my mom was a legal secretary until retirement and she worked for an entertainment lawyer on Ventura Blvd., who represented Samy Davis Jr.'s wife, Michael Keaton, and other stars. She would often talk to Altovise. It was so sad. The IRS came for everything, even his tap shoes :( My mom couldn't say much, but I remember her saying that. Another star who trusted his finances were being handled while he was so busy.

We always enjoyed the atmosphere of the desert town and now I crave to go explore all the national parks surrounding it. We did some of them growing up. Our parents were so mod and fun! It was the first place mine wanted to go after we immigrated here. I absolutely loved this piece and oh the places you have traveled and performed!! Wow. You would have been the most beautiful showgirl! and a dead body??? Oh great! Can't wait for that read! yikes!

Thank you for the memories :). oxox

Lovin the photo - so perfectly ‘completing the tale ! It’s a great privilege ‘going backstage - as well as ‘taking in the show’ of course - & your ‘tale brings the desert & mountains into play so wonderfully ! Have only been to Vegas once - & on assignment - & so wish I’d had a chance to ‘attend the desert & Grand Canyon ! Wah ! 🦎🏴‍☠️

Thank you for your generous compliment Thomas, I greatly appreciate your support! Besides Las Vegas being a giant adult playground, the desert and the mountains are also the same. So much to do there. For instance besides the magnificent Grand Canyon -visiting Death Valley is a kick! I hope you get to do a few of those things the next time you go! Sending you much love! Have a beautiful weekend!✨🤗💜
