While watching your performance, I did not get the sense it was being objectified which was amazing. Your write-up on medieval torture rituals was enlightening.I feel that the brutality of human history has a connection to our present. XO

Charlotte, as an alpha male, I can't deny the erotic side of these performances along with flawless execution, since you possessed the greatest athletic abilities along with a perfectly proportioned body.

C'mon, can't take my eyes off you! Mesmerizing.

David thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words, and wonderful observation about Carolyn Jones hands. When I do my stage magic and close at magic that is my goal. To really feature of essentialness of my hands. Sending you much mesmerizing love! 😘😘😘

Works the same way as Carolyn Jones (Morticia in The Adams Family) after discovering her amazing hand choreography (she was very accomplished and founded a school). Once studying her hands, I could never again watch The Adams Family the same way. She had the most beautiful hands and their movements were hypnotic, they became all I could see.

I don't have a problem with humans doing nasty things to humans...

I am more concerned with what we do to innocent defenseless animals... and we are all complicit in these nightmares

Dita Von Teese. I have seen more than a few pictures of her. She seemed more about "SHOW BIZ " than simply cavorting around nude / semi - nude in front of a camera. A CLASS ACT, because, basically it doesn't take a stratospheric amount of TALENT to pose nude.

Thanks for fleshing out her background a bit. KUDOS ! 👏👏👏👏👏

Ooh I loved reading this Charlotte! I used to read those books on torture and how saints were martyred and they still haunt me. Such cruelty! Yet it still exists today.

Your performance is magical. Just wow. I think you’re right that a woman can own the power and refuse to be objectified. I love Dita, too! I used to go to burlesque classes and once saw a hologram of her perform the martini glass routine at a Louboutin exhibition in London!

History has been cruel indeed ! Thank you Trudi, I appreciate you reading my article! And Oh-La-La there’s a sensual side of you! I’m also a big fan of burlesque! That hologram must have been awesome! ✨❤️✨

Absolutely! 👏 I work with some of the greatest burlesque dancers including kitten Natividad who later did hard-core porn. Said, because she didn’t have to do that.

I love how you’ve weaved medieval torture into your beautiful post. I love your costume, because it forces the focus on you and accentuates the delicate nature of being human; we are flesh and bone. It also highlights your femininity exquisitely and amps up our fear for your safety. Excellently done and so fun to read and watch. Thank you, Charlotte!

1st please consider my "ful time" assistants have been my daughter & son now grown who "agreed" to being sawed in half. My wife has said she would let me "s-h-i-h" IF I lose 100 pounds (88.5 to go). Having an assistant who would do "dangerous looking" Illusions has slightly been outside of my repertoire (hope I spelled it correctly). I enjoyed seeing impaled performances. Thanks for updating my knowledge of torture devices. You friendship means a lot. Thanks! Trust God and You're Loved!

Wow, you were just flawless in these performances Charlotte! Incredible magic! and the history of torture you described "for show" was just horrible. I knew some of it. So sadistic. Seems not much changes. Thank you for sharing your brilliant career with us! ox

Interesting reading this Charlotte and watched the video wow! I don't think Ive seen that before. Amazing, sexy and shocking all at the same time. I felt a lot of emotion as you dropped down on the spike. Yes very powerful and triumphant to emerge back unhurt from all of that. I loved it.

I watched Dita Von Teese at her show in London a couple of years ago, brilliant performer. If you could ever go teach another woman how to do the Impalement illusion. Dita would be the one that would do it proud.

Thank you so much Rina for your kind complimentary words. The woman always recovers and stand victorious after completing these daring magic tricks! They are tge magic!

I would love to see Dita perform this illusion. She presents magic in her Vegas show! Thank you afmgain, and have a glorious week! ✨💖🔮

Thank you, and oh yes you should find a way surely then to speak to Dita on this? She could do a very powerful performance with that magic device. With your thoughts I am seeing these illusions in a new light, it is much more about strength of character and triumph over what may seem a hopeless situation..

Wow Charlotte. I will have to contemplate what this brings up in me. What a powerful post. I am really awed by your talent. I think your scanty costume is classy and your muscular, supple frame and capacity to move striking and inspiring. Torture devices are troubling. The absolute in disconnection from others and their capacity to feel. But I read that the physical effects of trauma (cortisol levels) land in the one doing the torturing along with their victim…and both family lines suffer the effects. I met someone who felt he was Count Dracula in a past life and I heard about the impaling. This person mentioned the Turks greatly outnumbered the Romanians and were coming to steal their land and property. He mentioned that instilling extreme fear in them was the only way to drive the superior forces back and protect his people. I don’t know if it’s true. I do feel there are themes here that I struggle with, for even if one knows one is more than the body, such pain does challenge a soul and I think involves some recovery. Which winds me into contemplating Christ again and how he could forgive in the midst of such unconsciousness. I believe both learning to stand up for myself in a clear way and also seeing others through the eyes of compassion are two of my biggest challenges in life. And there is strong, often unconscious patriarchal energy on this planet that tests me frequently. Thank you for bringing me a gift as I wake up this morning. Time to go watch the sun rise.

Wow! That’s a lot to think about too! Fear is a great tormentor used by bullies and sociopaths to get their victims to comply. We all just went through a massive worldwide traumatic event. Once you understand their use of fear porn, the spell comes undone.

In one article I published last spring, I wrote about a close friend taken by a sophisticated online scammer. Trust me when I say she is the least likely person to have wool pulled over her eyes, but her fear threw her logical intelligent brain out the window.

I think learning to stand up for myself and seeing through the eyes of others is also one of my biggest challenges as well! Bless you! Thank you for reading my article and commenting, it means a lot to me! ✨💖🤗

I remember the article you wrote and it was powerful. I am grateful for our connection! Fear certainly has been, and is used as a spell. I like the way you frame that. It is good to see it so.

Thank you for this article Charlotte. I have never considered these kinds of illusions in the way you describe them but yes the beautiful/glamorous woman cheating death as taking back her power or over coming something is definitely an interesting interpretation.

Not any longer; I only mastered a few sleight of hand illusions for my own entertainment.

I really enjoy your anecdotes of Hollywood and Vegas. I turned down a job offer of General Counsel for the Dunes and later was backup conflict counsel for Oscar Goodman in the Tropicana skim cases, so I’m not completely unfamiliar with the area.

Your implement act is superb.

Oh Wow! You have some deep history to tell! I am a contributor to KIYQ 107.5 in LV, where I have a program at cold retro Vegas nights and talk about old Vegas entertainment. Gino Minari, a friend of mine and owns the radio station writes about the mob and crime etc.

Do you have any articles on your work while in Vegas car? I remember Oscar Goodman! Those were the good old days.

Hey Charlotte, thank you for that ghoulish history! I generally run away from torture devices and am too empathetic to endure the magic of near deaths! But appreciate the tremendous skill, beauty and strength to master these feats. Kudos on you and thoroughly enjoy your tales, Charlotte!
