These memories are priceless, Char! You brought theater and romance to all performances. As many times as I saw you perform, I never ceased to be amazed by your physical prowess in making the illusions so seamless! I can’t wait to read more!!!
Many blessings to you and Nelson, Karen! I feel like I’m watching myself for the first time. It’s interesting for me to watch all of my work now that I’m older and no longer have quit the prowess. I get to finally watch myself from your perspective! Thank you for all of your kindness and support! ✨💖✨
As a magician you know the challenges we face. Especially speedy costume changes. I credit God with any courage I have because most the time I’m pretty much a chicken! Lol! I couldn’t believe I found the clip of our performance on the Paul Daniels show. That is priceless. I have a copy in pal but I no longer have a way to convert it. So I couldn’t believe it when I found it online.
This story reminds me of the heists by stage magicians movie in 2013, “Now You See Me”. You all looked like 80’s Muscle & Fitness Magazine regulars back then!
Cousins?! Small world, huh! I’d love to have you visit Memphis, and The Woodruff-Fontaine House where I do my show. It highlights the magicians and the magic from the “Golden Age of Magic”. Robert-Houdin, Ching Ling Foo,, John Nevil Maskelyn, etc. are featured. It’s constantly changing, because it’s hard to fit all of that Magic into 90minutes. You just let me know when you will be in the neighborhood and you will be my special guest!
Fabulous! This means you have enough material to continue changing out your routines. Keeping your show fresh for repeat audiences! Are used to visit often when I was touring. But I have not been to Memphis in many years. Once I have my podcast launched and my new website featuring my magic videos then I want to start touring again. But this time smaller and performing at magic conventions and lectures. So I’m hoping it brings me into your area. This is probably two years off.
Wonderful! Yes, I try to change things up a bit, because I have some repeat spectators who love sitting in that beautiful Victorian ballroom and seeing magic from so long ago. It sort of “transports” them to another era. I honestly try my best to NOT make it out to be a ‘lecture’ on Magic, but rather like a “Time Machine” that takes the audience to another time for just a short while. I always mention that the next performance will have different illusions and you’ll learn who created them. Okay, maybe it’s a LITTLE bit like a lecture … but, education is fun, right? lol
I will always remember that malfunction that I saw on the live special. Your reaction and how you handled it was truly priceless. Thank YOU for being who you are!
Thank you Jeff for your support and stopping to leave a comment! 🤗 Imagine if I would’ve stepped out of the trunk? 🥹 That would have been some publicity!
Definitely! I am happy I managed to make the right decision. That’s why when Jonathan tried to pull me out of the box I pulled myself back inside! Lol! And I read you have a show in Memphis? Some of my cousins live in Memphis and I’m hoping the next time I’m out to visit I can see your show!
