You’ve had an incredible career. I feel like once the ‘90s were over, so much of that ‘old world’ was demolished across the nation to make way for new. I love reading your memories of that time.

Thank you Allison, I greatly appreciate the time you took to read my article and make a comment. I am grateful for your support.

It makes me wonder Allison if there was a grand plan decades and decades ago to make it what is today. It’s totally unrecognizable to me except I’ve been there often enough to understand the layout. Watching all those old hotels being torn down would be like say watching all the buildings along the shoreline in Chicago be an imploded and then rebuilt again later. I’m not sure it’s always better but that’s the goal. But they are so many native American casinos, Palm Springs and places like Laughlin Nevada which of retain that old casino, old world look.

Charlotte, you ARE a Jubilee!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Las Vegas must have been a hoot in those days. And all the construction going on during that time must have been wild. It was sad for me to see a picture of the iconic Sands being demolished. Goodbye to a lot of important Vegas history. Thank you again my dear. 😍😍😍

MsA. indeed, I lived in a construction zone for over ten years. Lol! Those were great days and certainly interesting to talk about as a conversation breaker. I greatly appreciate your wonderful support my sweet friend. 😘😘😘🥲❤️❤️

Thank you for your tribute to Tracy. She lit up a room like a thousand watt bulb! She was gracious, kind, generous and oh so sweet. The world will definitely be a tad less wonderful now that she has departed.

I was in shock Karen. I wished I'd been more in contact with her during these years. I think I introduced her to you? I can't remember. I can still hear her laugh and I snap right out of my bad moods. Her laughter was a true gift. 💝

Thank you for the virtual time traveling tour backstage and behind the scenes of a classic Las Vegas show spectacular experience Charlotte. The most interesting performances were offstage!

Tracy sounds like she knew the way. I have sympathy friends and then I have damned good friends, and they're the ones laughing at me so hard I nearly forget to act mortified.

That Entertainment Tax is really something. XD

Thank you R B! ✨💖✨

We are so fortunate to have people like Tracy’s come into our lives. I still can hear your laughter and use it for my own therapy every day. 🥰🥰🥰

Yes, entertainment tax is a big deal in Nevada. There is no state taxes in Nevada, so I don’t know if this takes the place state taxes.

Charlotte, my condolences on Tracy’s passing. I’m sure she’s laughing somewhere at your retelling of losing the bottom half of your costume; and happy that she could restore your equilibrium through laughter.

Without laughing that day I’m not sure how much of a depression I would’ve fallen into. Someone very close in my life at the time was very hard on me over my mistake. So I can’t tell you how grateful I was for those magic moments of laughter 🥰🥰🥰 🤣

Reading it felt like a key moment, and I am glad you wrote about it. It’s a great testament to a great friend with perfect timing. What's the saying about falling off a horse and getting back on it? By continuing and not giving up, you inspired so many performers who might feel a mishap in performance is the end of the world. Soldiers have a great saying about picking you up and dusting you off. Tracy served as your battle buddy then.

What beautiful part of your life, for over 55 years I wondered what performer would write about the behind the scenes of life in Magic and no one really did until now,you do not disappoint, your life story is a magnificent best seller,I hope it can become a book someday. You are so much a part of the history of Magic now more than ever.Your story is both very uplifting and charming with also some of the real life sad parts that somehow afflict some folks in terrible ways.Thank you for adding to my Magic bucket list,we love you ♥️🙂

Wow there was so much to take in reading this. I had no idea you were so petite, Charlotte! (I'm 5 ft 2")! You must have been incredibly fit to keep up with all that running. A great piece of writing!✨

Awwww…. I love us petite ladies. Being small, but looking tall added a lot to our illusions. I would meet people following our shows and they would look down at moon shark. Most people couldn’t believe it was me. Lol. I thought I had a taller twin sister.🤣🤣🤣

Sending you so much love and gratitude, because I truly appreciate your support. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

R.H. you are a painter of words. The Rembrandt or Michael Newberry of writing. Stated so perfectly my friend. Life is a Jubilee!, and the contrast between joy and hardship is what makes it a Jubilee! Thank you! Blowing a little magic and love your way
